Why don't many people chat using mics on Modern Warfare 2 for PC?

I've just gotten the game and it's not like the PS3 or 360 version where people talk a lot and argue and stuff. Do many people talk for you guys on the PC version? Is there something I'm missing?
 
Press t and you will be able to type. I think its a lot funnier XD but I do talk every now and then. Especially when I am in a vs match with my team.
 
most people don't buy a mic for the PC. For example, how my question is similar to yours, Why don't people buy a webcam and talk to me live instead of using IM software. It makes no sense lol

probably they think they don't need/or know if they will use it.
