Why don't Lois and Peter notice Stewie and Brian are always off some where?

Its been a while since I've watched a few of the other Road to Road episodes. They never seem to notice Stewie and Brian are gone for a long time. What is that?

Well there are explanations for at least three "Road To..." episodes. In "Road to Rhode Island" Lois knew Brian and Stewie were away. In "Road to Europe" Peter and Lois were off seeing a KISS concert, while in "Road to Germany" they actually returned to the present time earlier than when they actually left.

I just think Peter and Lois trust Stewie alone with Brian.

Lois would be angry, then Peter would do something worse.

I think Lois has come to cope with all of this madness. Oh, wait! Doesn't she just repress it all?

(I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor...)

The thing I never understood about that is how there would've been a Brian and Stewie downstairs at that time too...and how the heck they would've fixed that paradox.

Methinks the same way the proper timeline's Stewie fixed the same paradox at the end of The Untold Story.

I think Brian and Stewie have gone on adventures outside of the "Road to..." episodes, though in some Stewie found ways for Peter and Lois to not notice his absense (using a robot Stewie, having Gary Coleman impersonate him).

I think it's because Lois thinks Stewie is independant and can hold his own.

I mean she let him go hat shopping on his own on "We love you, Conrad" remember?

Because it's a cartoon where logic such as this topic is not applied and things are not supposed to make sense as do in real life.

well, it's a world where a dog can go to college, become a teacher and date beautiful human women. it's also a world where peter can go off and fight a giant chicken while lois sits in the same spot and doesn't even notice he left, picking right up on they're conversation....theres part of the answer.

Actually there is an explanation. In the three part Stewie Griffin The Untold Story movie (specifcally "Bango Was His Name Oh") Stewie and Brian hitch a ride on Quagmire's RV to supposedly find Stewie's real father. Brian says that Stewie needs to tell Lois and Peter where they're going but Stewie says he already has taken care of it, as he built robots of himself and Brian to cover for him. In the DVD commentary the writers point out that anytime Stewie and Brian are away from the family, the two robots cover for them thus why Lois never gets worried when they aren't around.
