Why don't conservatives realize how much of American culture was once considered

"socialist"? All of the following aspects of American culture were once considered "socialistic" and revolutionary-

-Child Labor laws
-The 8 hour workday
-Public education
-Workplace safety laws
-Minimum wage
-Public fire departments
-Nationalized postal service
-Women's suffrage

Not to mention that 47% of Germany's economy is controlled by the government, and they have the third largest economy on the planet.

And loads of Americans go north of the border to Canada to get prescription drugs because they can't get them here in the U.S.

That is why Obama must do his best to ignore the far right weeping and gnashing and get health care reform done.
