Actually I wonder why Muslims dont use the r&s section to discuss whatever they need. Maybe someone started posting on the ramadan section and the habit just stuck? Ramadan isn't a holiday anyway, Yahoo should revise that.

If the Q was to do with the Christmas holiday then I would think it would get posted in Holidays under Christmas. The majority of Q's on this section are more to do with faith based Q's and/or discussion papers between organizational beliefs.

Christmas is just a date plucked out of the air by, if I remember correctly, the Emperor Constantine hundreds of years later, not the real date of Jesus' birth. The Bible itself does not give us the actual date, but shows us that Biblical prophecy has been fulfilled in his birth. Nor are we told that anyone in New Testament times celebrated it.
So a number of us wouldn't think that this was the best place for general discussion about Christian beliefs.

I think it's fair to say that anyone can use any section they feel appropriate for their own reasons.
None of us 'own' any section. Muslims come to the R&S section all the time - I could just say why don't they STICK to the Ramadan section, because they are Muslim, but I dont 'own' it.
If a Christian knows alot about islam or preferably Ramadan, I dont see what the issue is if they want to answer a question on it. Vice versa.

One possible answer? They see Christmas as a purely religious festival, and wish to discuss it in the religious section without the complicating factors the world seems to throw over it.
