Why don't any of the new sonic games have Chao gardens?

Why is it that the newer sonic games on the xbox 360 and stuff don't have chao gardens? It was one of the best parts of the game.
 
I don't know why they don't, but thank you for reminding me off this part of there later games. I remember playing Sonic on Dreamcast and it was the best Sonic game i ever played especially because of the Chao garden. If they came out with a game with the Chao garden in it. I would buy that game just for that one feature.
