Why doesn't Verizon have Backup Assistant for BlackBerry phones?

I think this is pretty backwards that Verizon does not have backup assistant for BlackBerry phones. Although I have my contacts backed up, I'm sure there are many people that wish they could easily transfer contacts from phone to phone and/or keep them backed up if they don't regularly sync their phone with computer.

Furthermore why doesn't Verizon allow you to export contacts from backup assistant? The only way to do it now is copy/paste and do some add/replace on the copied data. Really annoying!

:confused:I dont know what backup assistant is, but I use NVBackup on my Treo 755p.
Its an app that saves a backup to my sd card. I have 2 backups and update them every week.
This back up will completely set up any Treo 755p to my last settings:
calender, call log, texts, photos, etc. I also save a copy of the backup on my laptop. Mybe you can use a version of this app on your BB.

Because Blackberries come with thier own backup program called Desktop Manager. You can synce, backup, update all from one program. I'm pretty sure its in the manual that came with your phone. Or on the BB website

I think what he's trying to say, is, like me, I liked the fact that I didn't have to hook up to my computer a couple times a week just to do a backup.

With backup assistant, it was automatic per your setup/schedule. I was and still is nice.
