Why doesn't the US gov't bolster the economy by halting the practice of

playing policeman to the world? It seems like it would make free up significant funds for debt repayment and infrastructure improvement if the US govt did not fund so many other foreign interests. Take China for instance. While I am not in favor of communism, they do have a sound financial footing and have the ability to fund massive projects to create jobs internally. Thoughts/opinions welcome.
 
You could also save a lot of money if you tell the police to stay out of your neighborhood. Why don't you try that first and report back to us.
