Why doesn't the internet work on my unlocked phone?

I bought an LG GT400 phone from the vodafone online store, then the next week unlocked it and am now using an orange pay monthly contract, however, I cannot seem to get the internet to work, does anyone have any idea how to do so? Help would be much appreciated
Ah damn so is there no way of getting internet then on my phone Jonathan whilst being on orange?
