Why doesn't the Bible discuss life on other planets?

there is not one mention of the microbes we found on Mars or other habitable planets beyond our solar system

Because the Bible is meant for the people of this world. And whether there is life on other planets or not, that fact has nothing to do with the message of the Gospel that the Bible gives.

The Bible was God's message to the people of earth, and concerned about our issues down here. It was not meant to be a catalog of life forms here or elsewhere. I'm sure God figured we could find out all of that on our own.

Because the Bible is a giant load of BULLSH*T! -Kia

"The Bible is a book written by man to compensate for his own fear of death" -Rodney Houska Jr. (Kia's Dad)

Because God is not real and the fairy tale was written before any scientific evidence.

The bible relate only to the earth....our present and future conditions...but it does imply things...
(Isaiah 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
"who did not create it simply for nothing, "

The same can be said for the rest of his creation...the universe...

He did not create it simply for nothing...

He has not yet told us how we are to use it...We have to learn to look after the earth properly...first.

Old testament were laws and words of the prophets about the Messiah.
New testament was about salvation.

So, understanding life in other planets means salvation?

To any atheists "answering" this fckin retarded question, I bet if someone were to put a gun in your face you'd be prayin' your lil hearts out =]

because back then we still thought that EVERYTHING revolved around us and that the world was flat, we didn't even imagine the idea that those bright lights in the sky were other planets, and since god didn't see fit to mention that in his holy text, we can see that it was not written by and almighty power and therefore is nothing more than a very swaying fairy tale.

because the story is about earth and man.
Man was most likely created to rule the universe, but sinned , lost the glory of God, and powers of God, which would enable space travel. The devil became step father of mankind until defeated by Jesus on the Cross. Now we travel the universe, after Jesus , but in baby steps.
However in all of the universes, Earth seems to be the place to be. God and Jesus will reside on Earth after the Last Judgment forever.

Why give us all the answers beforehand? That would make our lives quite boring and without mystery. He failed to mention pizza, cars, rockets, and computers too. So what?

Because it wasn't 'inspired by God', at least not directly. It was written by people based on what they knew and thought at the time and how they felt about things. And we've come a long way in our knowledge of the universe in all this time.

The fact that there are no real scientific revelations in scriptures is a good argument against the 'holiness' and infallibility and inerrancy of scriptures. But it doesn't prove God doesn't exist, only that he doesn't write books.
