Why doesnt my xbox 360 pick up my wireless network?

So I recently got a new computer and we had to reconfigure our wireless network for our phones, wii, etc. When I tried connecting the xbox 360 to the new wireless network, it didnt find our network. It picked up the networks of our neighbors, but not ours. How can I fix this? I paid $100 for a wireless adapter, so I'd very much like to be able to use it. Thanks
