Why doesn't my laptop download Adobe Flash Player?

I can't get my laptop to download the Adobe Flash Player. In order to listen to music and watch videos and stuff, I have to have the Adobe flash player. Well, I went to the Adobe Flash Player site and clicked on download, well it doesn't download apparently. Because I can't listen to music on myspace still, it says I need the latest version blah blah blah, even after I downloaded it, or so I thought. So, I went looking for it, and I can't find it. Does anyone know why this is happening? Does anyone know how I can download it properly? I'd appreciate your help! Thanks.
 
clear out your cache of temporary internet files, then install it again. If that doesnt work, run a defrag and reg cleaner, then spyware and antivirus. Then install again.
 
You probably downloaded it, you just haven't installed it. You'll need to close your browser and open the downloaded file in order to begin the installation process.
