i had an f22 non vtec in my 94 accord dx. i blem my rod and did an engine swap to an f23 VTEC. the vtec is not connected being the harness doesnt have the connects for vtec because it was previously non vtec. but will vtec not being connected make the engine have now pwer after 3500 rpms?? it struggles.. i got a new p06 ecu chipped for an f23 in today it got a little better but my f22 will smoke this engine in power right now. any ideas what is the problem? everything is connected right. one sensor "crank sensor" isnt connected because the harness dont have that connection eighter. any body that has knowledge of vtec/ engine swaps PLEASE HELP!!!

I just wrote an entire page answer and then read you got a P06 ecu chipped lol

This is an easy answer, get your wire harness wired for vtec by a local performance shop. The vtec wont engage without the solenoid and oil pressure switch plugged into the harness (2 plugs)

I dont know how to wire a wire harness so i had a shop do mine

Also check your timing, there are arrows on your cams that you have to match up with a mark on your crank pulley.

I ran my engine with it being flipped 180 degrees and I had less power than 2 guys pushing the chassis from behind lol

I specialize in B series, but that crank sensor i didnt have on my swap but i had it on my stock motor so idk, im not blowing a code so i dont care lol
