Why doesn't my hair dye box (which I bought form sally's) have a tube of conditioner in

it? Mine's is from Ion? Why didn't mine have one? It only came with the dye and thats it. (along with the developer).
Can I use another type of conditioner or...? and can I shampoo too? Please help.
