i have a 1988 Toyota mr2 with a 3 light warning ( cooling fan, brake and charge). I have recently bought a new alternator and have checked to see if it could give charge ( and i does). I replaced the alternator and to come to a not surprisingly conclusion that the motor was running on the batter and was not being charged by the alternator. The belt it tightly secured and spins while the motor is on. We checked the battery and it can hold a 12v charge, we then pushed in all plugs and still nothing.I've checked the wires and they are connected. i love this car a lot because this is my first car, does any one know what could be the problem?
