Why doesn't fantasy books by black authors staring black protagonists sell well?

They do... Its just the style of writing that differs... as a 15 yr old published author, I have to say that it does bother me that there are not more books like the ones you discribe... But their writing style differs a little bit... not that I have ANYTHING against that, I actually prefer African American writers to Caucasion... Their writing is more believable and just overall amazing!!! XD

in most circumstances, white people want to read about white people, and I stress MOST. the same goes for any race. it might be because the reader can relate better, but I don't know. the reason the books with a black protagonist don't sell is because most black people don't read! I know this because I'm in honors level classes and there are no black people. they just care about getting theirs from us white folk. so, yeah, I'm not being racist. I'm telling the truth about what I see.
