Why doesn’t the military show the full range and capabilities of?

the jets that fly in them when they perform for the public ?

Ever since the 1950’s we have had planes like the SR71 blackbird that can reach speeds of mach 3.1. Most planes today have supersonic capability, and I am sure that many people have seen these planes at close range fly by in the blink of an eye. My question is based on these comments above:
Sorry my original question was the following :
Isn’t strange that the air shows don’t show the full range and capabilities of the jets that fly in them ?
I just want to hear the sonic boom. That alone would be the price of admission.
I just see the air shows as a slap in the face to the pubic. Its like having to use a dial connection. Its like going to the drag races to and seeing a 55 mph speed limit on the quarter mile track.
