why does the volume on my car stereo go low when i break?

i have a vw polo and i have just recently had to buy a new stereo as my other one broke, i have bought a standard vw stereo the same as what i had it works but when i break in the car it goes really low and when i accelerate the volume goes really high. i have checked everything is plugged in right but it hasn't made a difference.
does anyone know why it is like that and what i can do?
 
is the radio wired, so it only work,s with th ignition on if so wire onto ign switch{aux] position or direct to the battery , have you checked there is not a dirty fuse that operat,s the stop switch, the fact thats it,s getting louder as you drive your alternator could be over charging
