At my college, the female visitor from high school was spending a night at her older sister at dorm. She got raped when she went in for a shower in hallway by one of college male student. She was screaming for help. By time resident advisor come to check she was raped and identified the attacker.
The college police department being called, and have her taken to hospital, made arrested on suspect on same night. She got out from hospital at next morning. By time she revisit her sister dorm, the college police department picked her up and questions her. The way they questions her was very disrespectful and unfriendly. At end of questioning, the police department say she no longer can visit this college again. She can't even be on this college property.
Now that is very mistreated, especially to raped victim that I told you about. Why is that? Can't they respect victim and trying to comfort her? Can't they let victim be back to normal life? Maybe even provide free counseling? Maybe even give her credit for part of being sorry about it being happened to her?
