why does the parking brake sign come on my 2003 (?) Dodge Grand Caravan,

its the parking brake, but its not on? I have a 2003-I think- Dodge Grand Caravan, the parking brake signal comes on, and it isnt even in. It's when we pull into our driveway, and also when we get at the bottem of our hill, but the car runs very smoothly. No extras have been done either.
