George- Yes, Africa does have the highest percentage of poverty in the world but my question is why does the media make it look like all of Africa i poor.

That's the media's job. To feed people stereotypes. So now we have many people thinking that all of Africa is poor, muslims are terrorist, Asians men are non masculine, etc. Sad isn't it?
 
I know a guy from Africa and he said Africa is not as bad the media portrays it and just like here there are rich and poor and what not. I have no idea why but apparently the image of Africa as some place were the people are all perpetually starving and surviving on handouts is incorrect. It's probably from all the Aid Relief commercials we see.
 
i think they do it to make the 80 percent of the white population who are poor and retarded (you gotta be retarded to be spoonfed by the media ) to feel better about themselves. like ok guys you are not doing so badly here in america. over there in africa they live in huts. at least you guys live in trailers. its a form of control to prevent anarchy by po white folk because if the po white folk knew the truth about how majority of africans really live ?, ohhhhhhh boyyyyyyyy anarchy will run amok
 
because Western media is very racist and ignorant and they want to make it seem like blacks cant take care of themselves and that were poor uncivilized primitive people and want to make blacks here in the western countries feel bad and to thank the whites for getting them out of Africa and here to so called civilized America and to think bad of our distant cousins back in Africa i think its sad and that western media needs to do a better job of adding diversity and learning about other cultures
 
just because they got a few tall buildings doesnt mean therye not poor.

Im purty sure only a few have nice houses while the majority are living in shacks.
a few rich mixed with alot of poor neighbors probably like india.
