Why does the LG Chocolate Touch get scratched easily?

Why does this beautiful phone get scratched so easily on the back cover? I hate it!! That's the only thing I hate about this phone. Are there ways to remove them or make the back part look nicer? I have a screen protector for the front, so there's no problem there. Thanks, and also, why does it get scratched so easily! Why do they make phones like that?
 
You should get a screen protector that you need to cut for your phone (a universal one) and cut it to the size of the back of LG Chocolate. Than you'll have it protected :)
