Why does the GOP say Obama is engaging in political posturing every time he tries to

cross the aisle? Washington (CNN) -- A top Senate Republican accused President Barack Obama of engaging in hypocritical political posturing Tuesday after a closed door meeting between the president and Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill.

The meeting was portrayed by the White House as the latest in a series of presidential attempts to reach across the aisle despite Washington's harshly polarized political climate.

The White House characterized the meeting as productive, issuing a statement saying the two sides had addressed a broad range of issues. Among other things, Obama asked for GOP cooperation on a series of economic growth measures and ratification of the START nuclear arms reduction treaty. He also asked for cooperation on hot-button issues such as comprehensive immigration reform and climate change legislation

Because that is exactly what he is doing. Haven't you learned by now that all politicians play politics? They are all hypocrites, they all lie, and they all will do what ever it takes to get their own agenda done over other politicians and worst of all over that that of the American people. And that includes all sides. They "all" seem to forget that our founding fathers wanted a country of the people, by the people and for the people, with a "small" government. The other person is right, we should quit playing their game and start getting our country back where it belongs.

Bingo! Because that's what he's doing. He pretends he is "reaching across the aisle" when he attends a meeting with Republicans. But all he is really doing is reiterating his stance on his issues and arguing against their stance on the same issues. Reaching across the aisle involves some willingness to find common ground for the good of all the people. Obama does not do that. He meets with Republicans and then continues to distance himself from them. Thus, Obama represents only those who see things his way. Which is less than 50% of the country, according to polls. This man smells more and more like a dictator every day.
