Why does the BONE hurt??

Hey everyone! This is really strange...when I press on the bone of one of my thumbs, it REALLY hurts!! Any ideas why that is? What to do for it?? It's the bone on the inside of the thumb. Hubby says that he has had that before but doesn't know what it is. I just found it strange that the bone itself is what was hurting. Thanks for your replies!!!:wave:

Possibly you bruised the tendon around your thumb and its healing but may take awhile. Also, a possible infection has occured and you may want to see your doctor about that.

Bones themselves can get bruised and they do HURT! It takes time for the bruise to heal and it is a painful heal. Try taking aleve and keeping warm heat on it. It will take time.

Wow! BONES can get bruised??? I didn't know that. It makes sense because I have been using this hand more since my shoulder injury but I never thought that a bone can get bruised. How long does it take to heal seeing though I use the hand all the time?
