He is the author of major books that have been made into movies, such as, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Message in a Bottle, Nights in Rodanthe and his most recent, Dear John.

Almost every book someone dies, or its extremely sad. Why does he do that?!

Life is sad sometimes. A little sadness can maybe make us appreciate the good things in life.

That and the fact that his books are selling like hotcakes and being made into movies. I think he will stick with his profitable style.
