Why does tea taste discusting cold but nice hot?

room temperature is soooo gross! but when its hot its completely different, why is this?

and people have ice tea too, so why are extremes of temperature nicer in drinks?
 
Ice tea is nice because it's very sweet. Drinking ice cold plain tea would also taste gross. I think temperature has a lot to do with taste because essentially tea is just infused water so isn't really the most flavoured-packed cup, so i believe half of the pleasure of tea comes from the comfort of the hot beverage, not necessarily the actual flavour of the tea.
 
I think plain tea taste yuck cold too, but flavoured like cranberry with a little sweetner, like honey is nice cold with ice.
 
sometimes depends on the drink but it is mainly because the tea needs heat to melt or in other words blend into the water so therfore letting the taste out properly,so yeah.ice tea is kinda just chemicals and essence screw those rip off scams there just a waste of it
