If its battery operated change the battery it may need a new one, there are smoke alarms and heat alarms so if its a heat alarm it may be getting hot in the room and setting it off - summertime and a closed room and central heating or some heater close to it could set it off. If its a Carbon Monoxide detector then you may have a problem with your gas or oil fired boiler causing CO in the air dangerous if that is the case - if it really is a smoke alarm then change the battery if that does not work change the alarm buy a new one - if its attached to the main electric supply and not battery operated you will need an electrician or someone that is very competent with electric but for safety get a qualified electrician.
