Why does Obama hate Chrysler that much that he wants to Sell it to Fiat?

He doesn't care about that.

He took over Chrysler so he could give the UAW a 55% stake in the company. Now when the deal with Fiat goes through and they turn a profit, the UAW is going to be flushed with cash and guess who they'll donate it to?
Obama and the Democrats.

It's political payback.

I'm sure he just can't stand the Sebring. The republicans love Chrysler so much they would have driven a stake through its heart months ago.

Have you forgotten that Chrysler was just recently owned by Daimler (a German company) from 1998-2007? Chrysler hasn't been an American car company for over a decade. Obama has nothing to do with it.

Actually, Fiat is only going to have a 20% stake in the company, so in comparison to other times that the company has been sold, that's not too big a deal.

You should research the company's history.

He doesn't. He had a sweet deal in place to give the UAW a 55% stake (which they, as an unsecured creditor, don't deserve).

Maybe if Chrysler made cars that were reliable and that people actually liked, they would not be in this position.

He isnt selling it to them. He's giving away 20 percent of ownership even though they havent invested one penny.

Neat, the american government confiscates a company and starts giving part ownership away for free to a foreign entity.
