Why does North Korea want to go to a Nuclear War with America!?

I don't get it, I just read on Yahoo that chances of a nuclar war are it's highest..What have the Americans done to North Korea to make them do this? and why? don't they know the United States could probably obliterate that country on one touch of a button?
