why does my smoke alarm go off when i cook bacon?

My smoke alarm is on the total other side of my house, two rooms away. yet whenever we cook bacon in a pan or under the grill it goes off! Even if there is absolutely no visible smoke, and nothing is burnt :/

Had 2 different alarms, both the same
