why does my sanyo 37" flatscreen lcd t.v. have sound but no picture?

ok so our sanyo i think 37" lcd t.v. has perfect sound when you turn it on and the screen lights up but there isn't any picture is there any way you can fix this like super cheaply? Thanks, Matt
