Why does my little 6 month old yorkie cry in the car?

Everytime I put him in the car with me he starts crying Coud it be because he wants to go on my mom's lap in the driving seat? When we barely bought him he wasn't like this. Well because he had a little cold thats why. But still other dogs get happy when their in the car why does he cry ?
2 answerer- then why didn't HE cry the first days?
