Why does my Jeep shake when i break at higher speeds?

When i drive above 40 mph my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee shakes when i hit the breaks. It just started doing this recently for some reason? Thanks

maybe the brakes are warped are they disc or drum brakes

yea i had the same problem and it was the rotors. change the rotos and brake pads. good luck
