WHY DOES MY JEEP DIE WHEN I STOP?

My 1993 Jeep dies when I come to a stop, unless i put it in nuetral. I changed the tranny fluid and filter and it ran fine for one day. Seems to not downshift like it should, any suggestions?
No check engine light and it runs and starts fine. Sometimes on take-off it seems underpowered like its in second gear.
 
For a second I thought you were saying that the vehicle has a manual transmission and would die if you stopped with it in gear.. hahah. Now I see that it's automatic though so I won't laugh.. heh. Can't help with your problem but I thought I'd steal away 12 seconds of your life to tell you that little story!
