Why does my iPod touch and iPhone crash my home wifi?

It doesn't happen all the time, but a large percentage of the time when I awake either my iPod or iPhone my wifi will crash. Neither of the devices will be able to connect wirelessly; also, all my wireless devices such as laptops and wii will disconnect at that moment I awaken my iPod or iPhone. It is very annoying and frustrating. Help anyone?
