why does my ipod steal songs off my Media player?

every time i plug in the ipod, my microsoft windows media player suffers, WTF now i have a hundred play lists (on media player) all mucked up, because the ipod/itunes doesn't share files, it steals them. I have since stopped plugging in my ipod to the pc, its the only defense I have now. Ipods are the devil.

Heres how I figured it out. I make a play list of 20 songs on media player, they all played fine and worked flawlessly, and then I plug in the ipod, and any songs on the ipod that match those on the play list, are mysteriously damaged, and no longer play, "window media player cannot find the file location...." with a blue exclamation point. Is there a way to duplicate the file???

buying an ipod was the worst mistake i've ever made, waste of money, difficult to use, not user friendly, not compatible, a complete head ache.

apparently making a physical hard copy of my music onto cd's (mp3) is the only true safe guard I have to ensure my songs aren't zapped from the pc, but still that's a lot of cds. tedious and time consuming, and more money to spend on cd's, yay, kinda defeats the purpose of the ipod in the first place.

And, no I'm not going to use itunes as my media player, its difficult and tedious, to use.

Does anyone have any insight into this poblem
(please no general responses, be specific, and experienced, thanks)
