PLEASE DONT ANSWER WITH BECAUSE ITS A HONDA.

i have 95 accord lx 4dr. last night when drivin it,it wanted to turn off so i put it in nutral and gave it some gas so it wouldnt, seem to work. This morning i went to the store n the same thing happend exept giving in gas dint work this time, it turn off.after a few mins it turned back on so decided to go home. as i was driving into the street to take it home and the samething happend again luckly no cars were coming. When its was turning off it losses power n makes a weird noise like if the engine is clogged, up also heard like a gun poped off from the exaust before it died. I know the starter is not the problem because everything works fine (power wise).Anyone knows what the problem may be.

If you have a backfire condition in the exhaust system, that is indicative of the fuel failing to burn and getting past the cylinder bores and igniting in the exhaust system. You could have an ignition system failure or a fuel system out of specifications that is dumping too much fuel into the engine.

Good Luck

The pop sound from the exhaust is called a backfire. Sounds like a gun shot. The reason it doesn't have good brakes when it isn't running is because the power brake booster isn't working. Usually if it won't run and backfires it means you are having fuel delivery issues or problems with timing.
