Why does my headset keep doing this?

When i play on xbox live with my friends, i use the WIRED headset that came with the 360. almost ALL the time when i use the headset everytime i say something like "GO GO GO" it echoes like this "GO GO GO GO GO GO" so everytime i say something i can hear myself say what i just said like if i say "hey anthony" i hear "hey anthony." And when my friends talk it echoes too. i hear what they say twice... why does this keep happening? how can i fix it?
 
It happens to a lot of the wired headsets and there isn't much you can do about it. The headsets are cheap and tend to break very easily. You'll just have to buy a new one.
 
two things could have gone rong here.....

one: your controllers mic port is screwed up and you need to get a new controller for mic use or just get a wireless mic.....

two: your mic is screwed up somehow and you need to get a new mic...
