Why does my garden gnome talk to me?

I got my gnome about a year ago, and whenever I walk outside past it, it always says hello. My friends and family think I'm crazy, but I'm positive there is nothing wrong with me. I'm afraid to give it away, or even throw it out, because what if it haunts me?!? What should I do. Help please.
 
go see a psychiatrist. there are some stances where you are not crazy for hearing voices. if you are telling the truth get rid of it.
