why does my fish tank turn green?

i washed and washed my fish tank and it turn the water green in couple days.

Get a filter if you don't already have one, and get plants for in your tank, they can help filter the water and keep the tank clean. You can also buy bottom feeder fish that keep the tank clean as well.

algae is growing in the water, which shows that the water contains too much dissolved fish waste. You should change some of the water in your fish's home every day, until the water in your fish's home is clear again.

get a filter and it will do the work but every month clean it yourself LAZY!!! MAD ABOUT IT?? GET RID OF THEM!!

Do you have a filter? Also how many fish do you have and what size tank is it? You may have too many fish for your size tank. Get some cleaning fish. Cat fish are good as they feed off algae anyway.

Also get a PH testing kit to make sure your tank water has the right amount of minerals. You can get them from your local pet shot.

its call algea. you can prevent this from occuring by getting a good filter. Or you can buy a sucker fish for about $10. They stick to the glass and eat the algea build up, they also put the rocks (if you have any) in their mouth and clean them. Thats what i did and i think they're pretty neat! hope this helps.
