Sadie is a 2yr old datsun-beagle. she used to just poop whenever i took her for a ride. but we are trying again. I want to be able to take her along on rides. Well now I think she enjoys it. you can see her big smile on her face....and she loves to hang out the window and let her ears flop around. But she goes from one window to next and just wines and wines.....why does she do that? and i do let her go to the bathroom before we go for a ride.....

That's what happends when my dog goes for a ride. Sometimes she thinks we might drop her off at the vet or some place.

If they go to the vets they know where they go and they can memorize that and she also might not like the feeling of the bumps and the car

if she does it when your stopped my dog does that too but she might just not like rides

I have a dats that does the same thing,I THINK they could be scared of the movement and the other sounds. the reason I believe for the window to window is they know they got in from there some how and now looking to leave the same way but can;t.
Mytink shakes alot the frist time she went on ride and had to use the potty but now just scared i think and there not use to it.
But shes getting better.
Sounds like its there nature,

Before you put your dog into your truck, you dog should be calm. When she is excited, the ride is getting her more excited. Do not let her hang her head out the window. That can very dangerous. Things could fly into her face, eyes or ears. Have a leash on her when you go for a ride. When she whines, give a quick tug on her leash and say 'no'.
