Why does my dog whine too much and even barks really loud when im not close by?

He never does that to my husband only to me. I dont know what to do i try ignoring him and my husband and i are going crazy! He is even thinking about giving him away because he barks for no reason and whines waaay too much. He started doing this recently like a month ago weve never had this problem before. I take him for walks and feed him and i spend te with him but it keeps getting worse. I work nights so you can just imagine how hard it is to try and sleep with a dog barking so loud. Really i dont know what got into him hes never been like that before and now he whines if im not next to him or petting him even if im in the room and im talking to him he wines and jumps up and down wanting more of my attention hes been barking a lot also. Please any help before i have to give him away and never see him!!! I dont know what to do!!! I cant sleep!!!
 
He loves you. He found a friend and a pack mate in you and doesn't like to be away from you. Most dogs are family animals they associate canine pack mates with humans. Dogs can suffer from separation anxiety much like a child going off to preschool or kindergarten for the first time will. Don't give him away. A trick that worked for my old Norwegian Elk-hound, Timber was to give her a blanket that smelled like me. She took some getting used to it but it worked as a replacement for when I wasn't there.
