Why does my dog keep gagging?

My dog has been gagging but she isn't like throwing up or anything it just sound like a dry gagging kind of like a cough or something. she's been doing it like 5 times a minute!
 
almost certainly, she has something stuck in her throat.. get a torch and another pair of hands, and have a look,, you may be able to see a bone or something stuck across, and you may be able to hook it out with some tweezers, but be mega careful, or you will just push it further down.. but if this doesn;t work, go and see a vet.. pronto
 
my dog did that when he had kennel cough, or there could be something stuck in there. get to the vet they'll sort it out for ya x good luck x
 
If you can't feel any lumps or bumps in her neck, it could be that she has something stuck in her throat? A bone or something maybe? Another possibility is infection or an abcess caused by dental disease. My dog has the same problem which is unfortunately due to a growth in his neck, but he's a very old dog so try not to worry too much about yours. You should take her to the vets as soon as you can, just to be on the safe side. Even if it's a bone, if she doesn't dislodge it by herself soon it could cause a lot of health problems, as well as being distressing for her.
