Why does my computer not recognize my element mp3 flash drive?

in windows media ,when i try to sync music it doesn't detect it.. whats going on?
it's brand new ,and it works on 2 other computers at home..

could be its trying to use the same drive letter as another device - it a common problem with any flash media
