I dropped it accidentally about 2 feet high. It stopped working since that incident and it only turns on when it's plugged in.

whenever i disconnect it from the charger it immediately turns off. and yes, i turned it on while it was "charging" and it fully charged.
the reason i'm asking is to avoid having to go to the store and ask for a replacement. i'm pretty sure they'll cover because it was ONLY a 2 foot drop.
