Why does my cat stare at the TV when I'm playing with my wii?

We just got a wii the other day and everytime I use it, my cat will stare at the TV and sometimes even meow at it, especially when I'm at the Mii Plaza (where little characters walk around the screen). She's never taken interest in the TV before.
 
She's probably interesting in the movement on the screen. I know when I play Crash on my wii or Resident Evil : Umbrella, my kitten and my puppy will sit and watch the cursor on the screen.
They're probably interested in you interacting and the movement on the screen of the tv.
