Why does my car stereo screen flash?

In my car the screen on my stereo flashes like theres to much power going to it when i crank the volume up, The stereo came with the car but its not stock and looks rather new. I replaced the back stock speakers with 2 300watt sony xplods(6x9). I have a subwoofer and an amp i can put in my car yet but i dont no if my stereo/speakers can handle it, any further helpful information IM me at dirtbikeryzz thanks!

the idea might be the other way, you say it flashes when u turn it up, may be try unhooking the speakers and turn it up.

my guess it is being starved of power, when u turn it up it needs more amps to run the speakers, so if u turn up the volume with no speakers connected and the screen does not flash i would suspect poor ground or power wiring or a flaw within the deck.

try larger diameter wires to the power source,if that cures it then you know what it was
