Why does my car stereo keep turning itself on and off?

My car stereo system keeps turning itself on and off. Sometimes when I'm driving, it'll just shut off completely, and then come back on anywhere from 5 seconds later, to not at all. Or it won't work at all from when I turn my car on to when I turn it on. Sometimes it will work fine.
I first noticed a problem with my subs, as they would do the same thing, randomly turning on or off, or not coming on at all. Now they don't work at all.
Is there anyway for me to find out without looking at the connections on the back of the deck? Because that's a pain seeing as I would have to take my dash apart.
 
check to make sure you ground wire is hooked up good and the you power wire has a good connection with the radio and the subs. also check your remote wire to see if its lose or not.

You have a loose connection either on your power (red) wire, or your ground. When you hit a bounce or whatever the connection is being broken and restored.
