I have an 1985 camaro with a 305. edelbrock performer series intake 600 cfm carb. my neighbor gave me a vacuum advanced distributer(he said he dosent know if it works. and it did for a few days) i recently changed the oil 1qt lucas 1 can of restore (8 cylinder) and the rest with autozone's finest non synthetic oil. has good viscosity. my oil pressure while idle reads 30 on the dash. and now my rocker arms sound like an 80's jeep cherokee when in gear (acceleration) now would this be a timing issue? i have the rotor pointing dead center of the motor i could not get it pointing directly at the first cylinder without the piston being at TDC it ran great for a couple of days not too far though just around my development
the lifters are fine and the valve lash is 3/4 turn past 0 having thick oil wont cause rocker arms to be noisy timing, vacuum, oil pressure, improper carb mixture causes this problem
