Okay just got my bike out the shed after about 3 years lol! Anyway for some reason it has always been a pig in my opinion. It's not a bad bike, but it's extremely hard to ride. I know Im not the fittest person alive but christ I know this should be easier to ride. It's as though the only way to keep at jogging pace is to pedal like crazy. My cousins bike used to be smooth as anything but my one has always been such an absolute pig to ride, any ideas how I could change this? Would a new/better gear system change this and what price am I looking at in UK pounds for a good system?
Right now I'd like to see the money to buy a new bike. It cost about 400-500 quid about 6 years ago I think. I got it going better but still not as smooth as I think it should be.
WLE I described my problem didn't you read my question?

Ok, Dude. The bike market is so wild and wooly. You can get a bike for under a hundred bucks, or you can spend thousands and thousands. Don't, I MEAN DON'T!!! Don't waste money putting parts on a cheapy bike. You're better off to get a new or newer bike that's built with better quality components all over.

When I get on any of my bikes, they almost roll away on their own. That's due to good bearings, tuning, and how well you are positioned on it. I'd say get it tuned at a shop and see if they have suggestions for your particular model, or if they think (as I do) that you might be better off with another machine altogether.

It's hard to get back in shape on a pig! And it doesn't inspire you to ride more often does it? You're worth it! Spend some dough on yourself, Bro.
