Why does my '98 Buick Century only blow cold air from the defrost?

I've only had my Century for no more than two years, 130,000 miles are on it now. I turned on my air conditioner one day and it did not blow through the air vents as they did normally. The air only comes from my defrost, regardless of what selection I choose from my ac controls. My air conditioner is also a dual air conditioner, in other words- the driver and the passenger have their own controls. But again, nothing comes from either side- just the defrost. I will also have you know that I have already had at least 3 mechanics look at this but still no answers. Best answer wins!
My car has vacuum lines- I did receive that tad bit of information on my trips to the shops.

It's either the switch itself which I doubt, or a blend door or vacuum issue. Id get rid of your so called mechanics and get it to a real shop and pay the diag fee to have it checked by an ase master certified technician.

I'd guess that the vent control door isn't moving. I don't recall whether your car has vacuum or electric control to that door assy. I think vacuum. check the vacuum lines for a leak, the main line coming in from the engine and the distribution lines to the actual door motors. Good luck.
